Player Account (iOS only)
Your free Player Account can ensure that you never lose your game statistics and it also enables access across multiple iOS devices. Here's what you need to know to manage your Player Account:
New, First-Time Players
For new players, 2048 automatically creates a Player Account on your device and assigns a player name. Within the game, tap the 2048 icon to access the Main Menu then tap the blue Player Account button to manage your account. From there, you can toggle the account Sync on/off, change your Player Name, Switch Player Accounts (if you have more than one) and Delete your account if you prefer. You can also use Safeguard to connect your Player Account to your email address to secure your Player Account. Follow these steps:

Follow these steps to transfer your Player Account to a new device or access your Player Account from multiple devices:

Can I play the same board across multiple devices?
Unfortunately not. You can access your Player Account including complete Statistics and Tile Play but you cannot play the same game across devices.
Do my statistics aggregate across devices?
Yes. As your stats update within the app at key milestones (unlocking tiles, beginning/ending games, etc) your stats will be added to your Player Account and pushed to multiple devices as they sync.
Why can't I merge statistics and game history from multiple individual Player Accounts?
Sorry but there are too many points of failure with this approach. If you have multiple Player Accounts then we suggest you begin by connecting whichever has the highest value tiles unlocked.
Will the Tile Play feature work across multiple devices?
Yes... but remember that the device will require internet access to retrieve this information.
What about Player Account support for Android?
This is on our roadmap but requires substantial and unique development. However, when completed this will also include the ability to share an account across iOS and Android.

- Look for an email from 2048 with next steps to complete this process (you should receive this email within 60 seconds so check your spam and junk folders if you don't see it).

Follow these steps to transfer your Player Account to a new device or access your Player Account from multiple devices:
- Start by updating all your devices (old and new) to the most current version of 2048.
- On your current device where you have been playing 2048, be sure that your email address is connected to your Player Account (you should see your email beneath the Safeguard Email section if already connected). If you don't then follow the above "New, First-Time Player" steps.
- When you start 2048 on another device, simply tap Player Account on the main menu then tap on Connect beneath Safeguard Email and complete the Safeguard process with your email address. Your Player Account will be connected to 2048 on this new device.
